Kerry began working for the City of Chula Vista in 2004 and has been involved in local government for over 25 years, serving in various capacities, including volunteer, commissioner, and full-time employee. She is passionate about providing exceptional public service and continuously improving service delivery.

Kerry holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in public administration, with additional graduate coursework in nonprofit leadership. She has been designated a Master Municipal Clerk by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC). Kerry participates in professional organizations, including the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, the City Clerks Association of California, and the International City/County Management Association.
