Ashton R. Arocho has served as the City Clerk Services Director for the City of Rancho Cucamonga since November 2025. Her public service career includes previous roles as the City Clerk for the City of Westminster, Deputy City Clerk for both the City of Fontana and the City of Palm Springs, and Assistant to the City Clerk for the City of Monrovia. Ashton currently serves as President of the California Municipal Clerks Association (CMCA) and as the Immediate Past President of the City Clerks Department for the League of California Cities. She has also served as CCAC 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, and Member Services Director, in addition to holding numerous committee roles. In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the profession, Ashton received the 2024 Pat Hammers Spirit Award. In addition, she was inducted into the IIMC Athenian Fellowship in October 2020. A strong advocate for ongoing education and professional growth, Ashton earned her Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation in January 2022 and her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation in February 2019, following completion of the California Professional Municipal Clerk certificate program at the University of California, Riverside in 2018. Outside of work, Ashton enjoys days at Disney, weekends at the river, and off-roading adventures with her husband, Mark, and their five children: Rebecca, Jessica, Mark Jr., Lindsay, and Aubrey. |
